Granola

I love to make granola in the autumn, the honey and oats smell absolutely wonderful, filling the cottage and calling hungry elflings inside for something delicious and sweet

Ingredients

2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp oil
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup chocolate drops

Tools

pan for melting honey
lined baking sheet
spoon for mixing

Method

Preheat your oven to 120C.
In your pan, melt the honey with the oil
once melted, stir through the oats and walnuts, coating well with honey mix
spread onto a baking sheet and place in oven to toast.
Keep close and stir every 5 minutes for around 20 minutes. You want them toasty brown, not too dark.
Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. Pour into a storage container or bowl
Add the raisins, cranberries and chocolate drops.
Serve with yoghurt and orange slices, and enjoy x
