Apple Crumble

There's something so magical about cool autumn mornings and warm apple crumble. The soft apple, crunchy topping and chilly golden light is just so perfect.

Ingredients

(Filling)
8 apples, cored, peeled and cubed​
2 tbsp brown sugar

(Topping)
1/2C butter
3 tbsp brown sugar
2C rolled oats

Tools
​Large saucepan
Oven-proof casserole pan

Method
​​
Put your chopped apples into the saucepan, add a small splash of water and stir through your sugar.
Cook on a low/med heat until apples are tender (about 30 mins)
Transfer to the casserole
Heat oven to 170 C/338F
In the same saucepan, melt the butter and sugar
Stir the oats into the pan and then pour onto the cooked apples, spreading evenly
Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, until oats are lightly brown
